進入美國網站出現一批明星裸照或私密照流竄，部分知名影星與影后的自拍裸漏影片外流而引起軒然大波，部分受害者更表示這些照片是使用 iPhone 自拍的結果，疑似與 iCloud 相片串流到伺服器之後，遭到入侵盜取。但蘋果正式發表聲明稿表示：「不關我的事情」。
蘋果聲明稿如下：

Apple Media Advisory We wanted to provide an update to our investigation into the theft of photos of certain celebrities. When we learned of the theft, we were outraged and immediately mobilized Apple’s engineers to discover the source. Our customers’ privacy and security are of utmost importance to us. After more than 40 hours of investigation, we have discovered that certain celebrity accounts were compromised by a very targeted attack on user names, passwords and security questions, a practice that has become all too common on the Internet. None of the cases we have investigated has resulted from any breach in any of Apple’s systems including iCloud® or Find my iPhone. We are continuing to work with law enforcement to help identify the criminals involved. To protect against this type of attack, we advise all users to always use a strong password and enable two-step verification. 簡言之，蘋果的意思是說：「這些照片外流，主要是因為使用者的密碼被盜，而使駭客利用同一組帳號密碼於各項服務中進行登入嚐試，這些外流的照片主要是因為帳號密碼遭到使用而進入部分服務中，這狀況不只發生在蘋果的服務上，也會發生在其他的網路服務上，若使用者的帳號密碼都一致，那麼資訊安全做得再好也沒有用」。
雲端服務安全嗎？這道裡有點像你家裡安全嗎？即便你加了很多鎖，但是您卻常常把鑰馳亂丟或是放在容易被取得的地方，那麼有心人士就有機會拿著鑰馳到你家嚐試著開門侵入竊取各種物品；所以在此之前您應該先想想看自己的帳號密碼，是不是在各網站中也都使用同一組在走跳呢？如果是的話，那現在快去改密碼吧，正確的網路使用習慣，才能避免自己暴露於危險之中啊。
雖然已經證實美國知名影星裸照外露的事件與蘋果 iCloud 服務無關，但蘋果也已經在 iCloud 服務的登入中加入防範措施，當你登入 iCloud 時，會立即發一封 Mail 通知您！
但最後，小旭還是要提醒您：「不要去執行什麼關閉 iCloud 服務或是照片同步上傳」這種蠢事！工具本來就是要拿來用的，當你使用手機拍攝各種場景或是與家人歡笑的時光時，這些照片都是珍貴且無法再找回的記憶！手機畢竟是手機，他畢竟是機器，總是有一個閃失而故障 or 遺失，而這些手機裡面的資料與照片，就可能從此不見，所以別去關閉什麼照片同步，照片還是要有一個地方幫忙備份，那才是比較安全的！
真的要杜絕裸露照片外洩，那還不如不要拍吧！你去拍生殖器的特寫幹嘛呢？你去拍性愛的過程幹嘛呢？你去拍全身脫光光的照片幹嘛呢？不要做這些行為，而把雲端服務當作備份，那樣不就好了嗎？正常的照片外流，你怕什麼？
